Include the term 'training and development' for an archives service workforce within the headlines of the accreditation standard

While workforce training and development has been covered within the detail of these accreditation discussions, it is slightly surprising not to see the topic headlined as an essential feature of organisational health.

While I appreciate that the current term 'Appropriate workforce' can effectively cover the entire spectrum of archive service provisions, the inclusion of a headline reference to training and development will more clearly highlight that these topics are regarded as essential to effective provision.

The scale of such training and development will of course be, to some degree, related to the size of the archives service and its parent organisation. None-the-less, training and development are most unlikely to be unimportant in any service.
