Capacity - and moderator priority

Where you are using an app for a big government project it needs to have more capacity to cope with a a high number of users and comments.

During the opening days of Your Freedom there were a  woeful number of crashes and technical failures, which continued in some form for weeks. Neither users nor moderators could get onto the site, and when you could things ran so slowly that many gave up.

Further, at times where slowness is unavoidable due to a sudden deluge of users, moderators should be given priority access. There were examples of offensive and otherwise undesirable content that we could see but not remove. This was both frustrating for mods, and unacceptable from the point of view of what remained visible to the public.

Why the contribution is important

Public engagements need to have capacity for the public to actually engage with it.

Moderators need to be able to moderate at any time when the site is accessible to avoid offensive material remaining visible.
