It's become nigh-on obligatory that government organisations use the internet to communicate with citizens, such is its ubiquity and reach. However, when it comes to public interaction and improving the processes of consultation, discussion, policy planning and decision-making, it seems many initiatives are still very much in their infancy; certainly, the potential benefits of online engagement have not yet been fully realised.
From establishing any kind of web presence at all, through increasing understanding of the nuances of online interaction to pioneering a technological innovation; whether it's a case of expanding the uptake of proven methods or better joining up online activity with the 'real world' process, how can government organisations more effectively connect people with government and decision-making online? We want your ideas, suggestions and comments – as front-line staff or as citizens.
Purpose
This Dialogue is being run to help demonstrate the Dialogue App's features and uses to government staff. We hope you like it!

People
By 'we', we mean Delib Limited – we designed and built the Dialogue App and we're pretty pleased with it. All ideas and comments submitted will give us that little kick of seeing participation in action.
Plan
The plan is to just keep this Dialogue open and live – at the moment, we've not set a close date. Ideas and comments gathered here are not going forward to a formal report or anything; we just want to help people get a feel for participating in this kind of process.
